New wiring (after 1970):


Single phase:


N - Light Blue - Null / Negative
L - Brown - Phase / Positive
T - Black - Switch wire
⏚ - Yellow/Green - Protective earth / ground

Other colours are permitted, as long as they are not in conflict with the internatinal standards for wiring of the mains as shown below.

Check if the ground wire is properly connected to a tube that has been placed into the ground and measure the ground of the wall socket to be sure that it is properly grounded and thus in contact with the earth.

Three phases:
